Week 9!

No write up.

Dodgers lost.

I’m depressed.

Here you go.

My Week 9 S.S.S.P.O.T.W.

Fantasy Football QB Goff

Sit : Matt Ryan – ATL – The Falcons play the Panthers this week. And this one is personal. I cant keep telling people “this is his breakout week”. I am a Matt Ryan owner. He’s serviceable but not the elite guy you thought you were getting. If you’re someone who thinks your team can contend and you run Ryan out there each week, then you should be looking for a trade because hes not cutting it.

Start : Jared Goff – LAR – He’s coming off a bye and has had 2 weeks to prepare for a Giants team that is giving up the 6th most points to QBs. I like all of that so play Goff.

Sneaky  : Trevor Siemien – DEN – This is hard, but with Brady, Big Ben, and Phillip Rivers on bye, someone had to be a sneaky play, right? So I’m going with Siemien who plays Philadelphia. The Eagles are giving up the 10th most points to opposing QBs.

Fantasy Football RB Miller

Sit : Devonta Freeman – ATL – It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Freeman and it doesn’t get any easier for Freeman who gets a matchup with the Panthers. And I haven’t seen anything to this point, but towards the end of the game last week, he came up favoring his shoulder so keep an eye on that, trust me.

Start : Lamar Miller – HOU – Anyone who knows me or listens to this show knows im not a big fan of Miller. That being said, Deshaun Watson has breathed new life into this team and Miller has benefited from it. Put that together with that fact that they get a Colts team that is giving up the 2nd most points to RB’s and you got yourself a must start.

Sneaky : Tevin Coleman – ATL – There seems to be a trend here with the Falcons. When they play teams that are tough against the run, and they play the Panthers who, you guessed it, are tough against the run, its Coleman that steps his game up. So if my theories about this and Freemans shoulder are true, then I expect Coleman to be a nice FLEX play this week.

Fantasy Football WR Nelson

Sit : Jordy Nelson – GB – 9/97/1……the past 3 weeks COMBINED! That’s not good. And I know you drafted him as your #1 but without Rodgers, he’s just a WR3/FLEX play at this point. The Packers play the Lions who are middle of the pack against the pass but with Brett Hundley in there, you gotta sit him and wait and see what happens.

Start : Dez Bryant – DAL – Dez had a tough matchup against Josh Norman last week. They looked for him but he and Dak only hooked up 4 times for 36 yards. The Cowboys return home against a Chiefs team that gives up the 2nd most points to WRs. But the real reason I believe he has a huge game is because he is 1 TD away from passing Bob Hayes for the most TD receptions in Cowboy history. I think it happens against the Chiefs.

Sneaky : Ted Ginn – NO – He’s been a sneaky good play the past couple of weeks and gets a matchup against the buccaneers, who are the worst team in the league against the pass, at home on the turf.

Fantasy Football TE Cook

Sit : Tyler Kroft – CIN – He led the team in catches last week against the Colts but gets a much tougher matchup against the Jaguars this weeks.

Start : Austin Sefarian Jenkins – NYJ – His TD streak was haulted at 3 straight games after he failed to grab one this week. He still caught all 5 of his targets and this weeks gets a matchup with a Bills team that, while tough, gives up the 6th most points to TEs.

Sneaky : Jared Cook – OAK – Cook has been a reliable option for Carr the past couple weeks and gets a Dolphins team that gives up the 7th most points to TEs in the league.
