Fantasy Football WEEK 6!

Week 5 was rough…..especially if you were a New York Giants receiver. But they get surgery and we move on.

Some of us do it by hoping they get well and searching for a replacement off the Waiver Wire or via trade. Others harass them on Twitter for ruining their Fantasy Woofball hopes (inside joke. Listen to this weeks show above to see what I mean). But, to each their own though, right? That’s how the world of fantasy football works.

We have the Bills, Bengals, Seahawks, Cowboys on bye.

No Shady, AJ, Wilson, Graham, Baldwin, Dak, Dez, Zeke…..repeat!

(T-Shirt plug for Fredo. Click the banner and buy a shirt from him!)

That’s a lot of star power but you’re in luck because your Fantasy Football Hall of Famer is here to help.

So here are my week 6 Sit, Start, and Sneaky plays of the week

Fantasy QB Brissett

Sit : Jared Goff – LAR – Goff and the Rams had a tough matchup with the Seahawks last week and as a reward they get to travel across the country to play the Jags and that tough Defense. I like Goff, but not this week

Start : Kirk Cousins – WAS – Coming off a bye and the 49ers coming to town. People are saying the 49ers could be a landing spot for Cousins next year so it could be an audition. I expect a big game from Cousins.

Sneaky  : Jacoby Brissett – IND – Wilson, Prescott, and Dalton are on bye this week. Brissett has a matchup with a burnable Titans defense. He also gives you points with his legs. It could be his last start so he will be looking to put on a show.

Fantasy RB Alvin Kamara

Sit : Tarik Cohen – CHI – John Fox and Dowell Loggains have decided that after seeing what Tarik Cohen could do weeks 1-3, that they didn’t need to see anymore and would scale him back because they need more Benny Cunningham. Fox needs to go before he ruins Cohen (and Trubisky) and Loggains can follow him right out the door. You can’t trust Cohen while they’re in charge.

Start : Alvin Kamara – NO – As I got ready to write this Adrian Peterson was traded to the Cardinals. But whether he was or not, he was going to be in this spot. He has been a PPR monster and with Peterson gone, his arrow is pointing way up high. Florescent lightning. Strobe light. Smoke machine. Welcome to the Alvin Kamara Party.

Sneaky : Marlon Mack – IND – Mack is back after 2 weeks with a shoulder injury and returned with 92 yards and a TD on 10 touches. Chuck Pagano has said that he has earned more touches. People were worried about Gore and Turbin, but if you watch Mack play, it’s obvious he is the more talented back and his touches will continue to go up. The get the Titans on Monday night and I truly believe that this will be his “HELLO WORLD!” moment.

Fantasy Football WR Sammy Watkins

Sit : Sammy Watkins – LAR – Since his big Week 3 game, Watkins has seen 6 targets. 6. 1 catch for 17 yards. That’s it. Yes, it was the Seahawks last week but the Cowboys were in there too. He expressed frustration on Twitter. Sean McVay (McBae) said they need to get the ball in his hands. It would be a good time to play him because you know they want to feed the baby. Only problem with that is they get the Jaguars this week with that ballhawking defense. I have to play him this week in one of my leagues but this is a situation you should avoid if you can

Start : Keenan Allen – LAC – The targets are there. He had 12 last week and had 4 catches for 67 yards against a tough Giants D. This week, he gets the Raiders. And you know what we do with our players when they play the Raiders, right? That’s right…You play them.

Sneaky : Jermaine Kearse – NYJ – It’s really hard to recommend Jets to you guys but this matchup has everything you want. The Jets have the Patriots coming to MetLife with an offense that they will have to try and keep up with and will most likely be far behind and will be throwing the ball against a Defense that gives up yards. The Garbage Time Points Jermaine Kearse gives you in this game makes him a nice sneaky play

Fantasy Football TE Ryan Griffin

Sit : Delanie Walker – TEN – I had him here last week. Yes, I know they play the Colts but as long as Matt Cassel is under center (and as I write this, he is) I will not recommend Walker being in your lineup. That team is a dead zone until Mariota comes back.

Start : Hunter Henry – LAC – Since his week 3 stinker against the Chiefs, the Chargers have made it a point to get Henry involved. Last week he saw 8 targets and turned that into 3/42/1. He has a TD in each of the past 2 games and now gets a tasty matchup with the Raiders. Get him in your lineups.

Sneaky : Ryan Griffin – HOU – You’re saying to yourself right now, ” Ryan Griffin, Mike? I know they play the Browns but……Ryan Griffin? I’m not so sure about that one Fantasy Football Hall of Famer.”  And to that I say YES, RYAN GRIFFIN! And here’s why :

CLE vs. TEs this year:

Jesse James 6-41-2

Ben Watson 8-91-0

Jack Doyle 2-16-0

Tyler Kroft 6-68-2

Seferian-Jenkins 6-29-1

Aside from Jack Doyle, TE’s have been productive. So if you need a spot start TE, give Ryan Griffin a look.

Good Luck!

Fantasy Football Hall of Famer

Mike Gaspar.
