Week 3 of Fantasy Football.
Got here pretty fast right?
We waited all this time for the season to start and now it’s already week 3!
2-0. 1-1. 0-2. 1-0-1. 0-1-1. It doesn’t matter. You’re still in this thing. And I’m back with my week 3 Sit, Start, and Sneaky plays of the week. Here to help keep you get to the top or climb out of the gutter.
We had a little more success last week and now the goal is to continue to build on that momentum. By making the right moves.
So let’s get started!
Sit : Philip Rivers – SD – Just gonna keep it simple for you : History says to avoid Rivers in games against the Chiefs
Start : Matthew Stafford – DET – I told you to sit him last week (he threw for 122 yards and 2 TDs) and I’m telling you to start him this week against the Falcons. The Falcons have been getting after QBs. But will be playing without Vic Beasley this week and that should allow Stafford time to push the ball down field.
Sneaky : Kirk Cousins – WAS – The jury is still out on the Raiders D. They did well in TEN then gave up 20 to the Jets at home. Cousins hasn’t lived up to his hype thru 2 weeks. But, he gets the Raiders at home for Sunday Night Football. I feel like this could be a breakout game for him (in a losing effort, of course).
Sit : CJ Anderson – DEN – I know he’s coming off a big game against the Cowboys (or Dem Boyz as some of you fans call them) and you drafted him as a RB1, but the Bills have a dominant line that has held Bilal Powell, Matt Forte, Jonathan Stewart, and Christian McCaffrey to 88 yards on 38 carries thru 2 weeks.
Start : Ty Montgomery – GB – I’m still not sold on Montgomery for the long run but for right now, thru 2 weeks he has turned 39 touches in to 203 yards and 3 TDs. He is especially great in PPR leagues and gets a week 3 matchup with a Bengals D that has allowed 162 rushing yards per game.
Sneaky : Theo Riddick – DET – He gets a matchup with the Falcons in week 3 and here’s a fun little fact for you : Thru 2 games, Running Backs have conbined for 19 Targets, 14 catches, 112 yards, 2 TDs so Riddick has potential to be a top 10 back this week.
Sit : Larry Fitzgerald – ARI – The loss of David Johnson and play of Carson Palmer have hurt the old mans production. He’ll still get looks but until it comes consistently, he’s hard to trust.
Start : Kelvin Benjamin – CAR – Greg Olson is lost for 6-8 weeks. Benjamin caught 6 of 8 targets last week against the Bills and gets a matchup with a Saints team this week that was just torched by the Pats.
Sneaky : Rishard Higgins – CLE – I know it’s weird having someone tell you to consider playing a Cleveland Browns player but with Corey Coleman out (broken hand) and Kenny Britt doing nothing, Higgins stepped in and turned 11 targets into 7 catches for 95 yards and gets a nice matchup with the Colts this week.
Sit : Jimmy Graham – SEA – An ankle injury might keep him out, but if not, his 4 catches for 9 yards on a so far terrible Seattle offense should be enough to keep him on your bench.
Start : Ben Watson – BAL – Joe Flacco loves throwing to his TEs, he just forgot because after a week 1 where he looked Watson’s way once, he found him for 8 catches on 8 targets for 91 yards during week 2 and I think its a trend that will continue for this week 3 matchup against the Jaguars.
Sneaky : Jack Doyle – I told you to sit him last week….. I’m sorry. But this week I’m telling you to consider him. He and Brissett looked good together hooking up for 8 catches on 8 targets for 79 yards and they get the Browns this week.
