Fantasy Football Week 14!

Playoff time! (For you people in normal leagues)

This is what you work towards and now it’s time to finish the push.

There will be a lot of screaming at your TV screens this week and I’m here to make sure it’s in celebration!

So here it is. You’re week 14 S.S.S.P.O.T.W!!!!

QB Alex SmithQB

Sit : Russell Wilson – SEA – How can I tell you to sit an MVP candidate? Very easily. Wilson is going on the road, cross country, to face a Jacksonville defense that gives up the least amount of fantasy points to QBs and have been making QBs look silly all year.

Start : Alex Smith – KC – I had him here last week and I’m just gonna go ahead and keep him here. Even though they lost, Smith had a huge game throwing for 366/4 tds and adding a 70 yard run against the Jets. Now he gets a matchup with the Raiders at home on Sunday night and Oakland gives up the 5th most fantasy points to QBs.

Sneaky  : Derek Carr – OAK – I’m expecting a shootout against the Chiefs on SNF. Carr gets Crabtree and Cooper back this week. Marshawn Lynch is finally showing enough to keep defenses honest and the Chiefs have been giving it up to opposing offenses. This is gonna be a fun game and I think Carr gets in on the fun.

RB Duke Johnson JrRB

Sit :  Bilal Powell – NYJ – Dont let the TD last week fool you. It was vultured and Forte outplayed him. And now he heads into Denver to take on that defense that is good against the run.

Start : Kareem Hunt – KC – Football can be a cruel game and Hunt is feeling that right now. After his blazing start to the year, Hunt has been middle of the pack for the past 9 weeks. But if you’re a Hunt owner that made the playoffs, there’s hope. He has a cushy matchup in each of the next 3 weeks starting in week 13 with a Raiders defense that gives up the 8th most points to RBs.

Sneaky : Duke Johnson Jr – CLE – He had a bad week against the Chargers last week. The volume wasn’t there but the snaps were so I think Huey Jax corrects this issue and gets him going early and often against a GB team that gives up the 7th most points to RBs.

WR

Sit : Corey Davis – TEN – We keep hearing “this is the week.” Week after week its “This is the week.” But guess what? This isn’t the week and I dont think that week is coming anytime soon because of how poorly Marcus Mariota is playing. Davis has all the talent in the world but this is a lost season.

Start : Golden Tate – DET – The past 3 weeks have been very pedestrian for Tate. In PPR leagues he’s scored 6, 6, and 14 points. But things are about to get easier for him as the Lions take on a Bucs team that gives up the most points to WRs.

Sneaky : Marquise Goodwin – SF – Dreamboat Jimmy made his 1st start last week against the Bears and proceeded to pepper Goodwin with a team high 8 targets which Goodwin turned into 8 catches for 99 yards. He now gets a matchup with a Texans team that is vulnerable to the deep ball while giving up the 6th most fantasy points to WRs.

TE JenkinsTE

Sit : Austin Hooper – ATL – He’s been a non factor the past 3 weeks and I expect it to stay that way on Thursday night when they take on a Saints team that has been tough on TEs.

Start : Julius Thomas – MIA – He’s a total boom or bust guy but he has produced in PPR leagues the past 2 weeks and gets a MNF matchup with the Pats so you know they will be throwing to keep up. I have Thomas as my Garbage Time Points Player of the Week!

Sneaky : Austin Sefarian Jenkins – NYJ – ASJ has dropped off the past 3 games after a hot start, although in that span he’s had 2 TDs called back on penalties and a 30 yard catch called back last week. I know it’s the Broncos but they give up the 4th most points to opposing TEs.
